Columbus, OH
The passion of art started in 2016/17, thanks to my high school art teacher Thomas Bagjackus. I was working on art a little bit already but with his help, and later with the help of my choir/drama club teacher Megan Meyer in my sophomore years till graduation; I further developed my skills in prop making and applying to art colleges across Ohio. I got a lot of
support from my mom and dad, Michelle and Carlos Johnson, as well as my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and sister Audra. Thanks to the support of everyone in my life, I took art seriously and got my first fashion designing job in 2021 after leaving college to pursue art part time, and take a part time job as a daycare teachers assistant to do both of my passions daily.
What is your favorite thing about designing? I’m able to design in any format and medium. I can use it to express my identity as a Queer, gender nonconforming person. I try to express my most authentic self and my interests through my designs and art.
