Tea Towel - 100% cotton Flour Sack Towel, with a Custom Map of the area done by local Downtown Muralist Sunny Mullarkey. I absolutely LOVE the map we came up with together, and think you will as well. This is a great gift for new neighbors, clients, your kitchen - Christmas (shhhh). You can find the state motto, state bird, Unity Park representation, etc. This beautiful towel is a multi-purpose vintage kitchen towel that is very soft, highly absorbent, lent free, pre-washed and is 27" x 27".
Vintage flour sack towels have been a staple in cleaning and cooking since the 1800's when supplier started using the flour sacks to package their flour, sugar, corn meal, chicken feed, and other foods to cut down on the use of bulky wooden barrels. These tightly woven cotton towel are making a big comeback because they are lint free, useful, natural, absorbent, and are superior to the terry dish towel. While these sacks got America through some of the toughest times, they also taught how to become resourceful and use items found around our homes.
